Norfolk Southern originally painted a coal hopper in this one-of-a-kind paint scheme to commemorate 50 years of coal export from the former Norfolk and Western's Lambert's Point, VA coal pier. Since the N&W was absorbed through mergers, railroads that had ore cars, so why not a Lambert's Point commemorative ore car. The distinctive Pier 6 painting and lettering style has been authentically replicated on this Norfolk Southern ore car.
